How It Works

This page works exactly like Explore, but only shows music (YouTube category 10) and entertainment (category 24) videos. Everything else — level filters, infinite scroll, video cards, and channel subscriptions — works the same way.

Music and entertainment content is separated from the main Explore page so your learning feed stays focused on general content like vlogs, news, educational videos, and conversations.

Why Separate?

Music videos and entertainment make up a significant portion of YouTube content. For example, in our database of Japanese videos at the JLPT N1 level, about one-third (3,190 out of 9,489) fall into these two categories. Mixing them into Explore would dominate the feed and crowd out other content types. Keeping them separate gives you control over when you want music and when you want other types of videos.

Channel Subscriptions

If you subscribe to a music or entertainment channel, those videos still appear here. The channel subscription system works across both pages — your preferences are shared.
